The similarity of movie posters

It looks like the film industry and especially Hollywood produce movies on an assembly line. Creativity and diversity are replaced by speed and profit. The designs of film posters reflect this development. There are some formulas for a guaranteed success. And here they are...

People on the beach, big heads in the clouds. A drama about somebody dying, but in the end things turn out all right.

Somebody's back and weapons. Loads of action, shooting and explosions.

Backs against each other. Romantic comedy. The main characters hate each other at the beginning, but fall in love anyway. The film is usually disappointing.

The bed. Looks like there will be a lot of sex in the movie, but is actually full of talking.

Enormous eye. Do not doubt it… a horror.

Nature is beautiful! And blue! If you make a nature documentary use blue!

Black and orange. Black = Action. Orange = Explosion!

Run! The main characters are running for the bad guys and/or trying to catch them. Similar to the black and orange category with the difference that the action is exchanged for tension.

The legs. Makes you think of sex, contains sex.
