Construction Overhead

Construction Overhead
Sørensen-Grundy gave us a behind the scenes look at how hats are really produced. "The 1:87 scale track maintenance workers transferred from the railway to construct a bespoke hat using buckram, blocking wire and 100% worsted wool. The scaffolding was made using doll's house floorboards and thin steel rods. It turns out that making half a hat is a lot harder than a whole hat."

Costume Dept.
