5 versions of "The Scream"

The name of this artwork derives from the character who protects his ears to a shout out.

This version of The Scream painting is probably the first version painted by Edvard Munch in 1893 and best known, it was made with tempera on cardboard, it is visible at the National Gallery in Oslo.

This one was painted in 1895 pastel on cardboard, this is the most colorful of the four paintings and is currently on sale at Sotheby's.

This is the painting that was stolen in 2004 Much of the Oslo Museum but fortunately found it back in 1910.

This 4th version was made in pencil in 1893, it's also visible at the National Gallery in Oslo.

Edvard Munch created this lithograph in 1895 in Berlin.
