American Propaganda

These photographs are American propaganda, made during World War II. The purpose was to promote patriotism, to encourage women to join the war and in general to present life on American soil under a favorable light. Kodachrome is the effect that was used for these photographs and that gives them these particular colors. Go to Shorpy to see more of this work.
